Saturday wasn't a great day for the spot starters here, but it wasn't bad either.  The ERA and WHIP weren't great, but they were definitely survivable when they also picked up 15 strikeouts and a win.

It's pretty late here on Saturday night, so I'm just going to get right to the recommendations...

Sunday's Recommended Starter One - Freddy Garcia - New York Yankees vs Baltimore Orioles - 1:05 PM ET - 29.5% Owned in ESPN Leagues

Freddy is pitching well right now for the Yanks, and that's why it's the obvious choice to ride him and the super hot Yankee offense here on Sunday afternoon.  Garcia has won his last two starts and has been striking out batters at a much higher rate than normal over his last two starts, striking out nearly a batter per inning.  In two games yesterday, the Yanks scored 25 runs.  They should have no problem scoring enough runs to give Garcia a great shot at a win.

Sunday's Recommended Starter Two - Brandon McCarthy - Oakland Athletics vs Minnesota Twins - 4:05 PM ET - 2.6% Owned in ESPN Leagues

McCarthy was a play for use much earlier in the year, and is back as a solid option after reestablishing himself off the DL.  He's got decent enough strikeout potential (just under 6 K/9 on the year) and a great home park for pitching in.  With the less than great Twins offense coming into town, this is a good spot for McCarthy.  Those in deeper leagues might want to hold onto him as well, as his spot in the rotation should be safe after the Rich Harden trade.

And that's it.  In and out today.
