Posting this earlier than usual because I have things to do later Thursday night.  Friday is my Birthday so going to be celebrating early at midnight.  May not be another update until Saturday depending on what I end up doing tomorrow.

As always, all recommendations are available in more than 50% of ESPN Leagues.  Friday's recommended starter coming up.....

Friday's Recommended Starter - Josh Collmenter - Arizona Diamondbacks vs Washington Nationals - 9:40 PM ET - 20.6% Owned in ESPN Leagues

Collimenter has been a swell surprise since moving from the bullpen to the rotation when Barry Enright lost his job.  He has delivered a quality start in three of his four outings, and wasn't awful in his other outing either. The strikeout numbers haven't been good, but it's the kind of ugly starter day where we can't really be picky today.  Collmenter has a strong offense backing him up and gets to play the Nationals on Friday.  He'll give you six strong innings of good ERA and WHIP and has a shot to pick up a win with a handful of strikeouts.

Friday's Alternate/Deep League Starter - Juan Nicasio - Colorado Rockies at San Francisco Giants - 10:15 PM ET - 1.0% Owned in ESPN Leagues

Nicasio had a great first start shutting down the St. Louis Offense and should continue to pitch strong here against the Giants.  He's had a strong K/9 rate throughout his time in the minor leagues and has a high-nineties fastball.  Those are both tools that should translate fine to the major leagues over a short period.  His secondary pitches aren't refined enough for a permanent role in the majors, but he's only up as a short term DL fill-in for the Rockies.  He gets a great matchup here at San Francisco, and is a solid alternate here.  He was very close to be the recommended starter here Friday, and don't be afraid to start him here Friday.

That's all for today folks.  Have a great weekend.
