New Orleans Saints (+4.5) at Green Bay Packers (O/U 47.5)
First game of the season and I'm already choosing a double sided result. I personally think these two teams are pretty even, so I think the Packers will get a slight boost from playing at home and have a good shot to win the game. However, Vegas doesn't also believe that the two teams are even, and have the Packers favored by an extra point and a half more than the three points for home field advantage. I don't feel very strongly about the Packers beyond their home field advantage, and think it will end up being a very close game. Both teams have great offenses who can score quickly from anywhere on the field and should be able to go score for score with each other. That's why I'm prediction the Packers to win but the Saints to cover, and I expect it to go over the 47.5 point total.
Prediction - Packers 27 - Saints 24
Picks - Saints +4.5 and Over 47.5
