First off, I'd like to apologize for the worst recommendation I've given so far. McCarthy has looked sharp on the year so far, but the Angels beat him up and did it for 5.1 innings.  I went down with you here, with McCarthy damaging my WHIP and ERA.  Hopefully can make it up by Sunday.  Secondly want to say sorry everyone, but got back extremely late here after the horrible Yankee loss.  Don't have time before bed for the full write up today... just going to post my recommendation with an explanation.

IMPORTANT EDIT- Just saw that Anibal Sanchez checks in under the 50% line at 43.2% owned coming off his one hitter against the Rockies. Gotta play him if he's available.

Bartolo Colon - New York Yankees vs Chicago White Sox - 7:05 PM EST - Owned in 3.7% Of ESPN Standard Leagues

No Yankee bias here, just a horrible selection of available starting pitching.  Everyone is either bad, or has a bad match-up today or is Josh Tomlin, who I just don't trust with his .185 BABIP against.  Bartolo's career K/9 stands at a solid 6.99 and he's been striking out a lot of guys so far this year.  He'll give you six or seven innings of something like two run ball, and add in five or six strikeouts.  The Yankee bats have been quiet for two straight games now, but the Yankees rarely stay in extended cold slumps as a team.  The Offense should show up tomorrow, especially against Mark Buehrle who's been awful.  Colon should be able to pick up a win here too.

  1. You are a Yankee fan as well? Me too, big time. Glad I found your blog, have been checking it daily to confirm by thoughts on spot starters. Already picked up Colon for tonight so good call there.
